What is Foot Reflexology?
Foot Reflexology works through the manipulation of reflex areas within the feet. It provides for better health and all over body relaxation.
Foot Reflexology is a unique science used to release stress and tension. The Reflexology practitioner works on the feet to stimulate nerve endings. These nerve endings are close to the skin's surface within the feet, thus providing for easy access. Particular areas of the feet are referred to as reflexes because when they are worked, there is a reflex reaction elsewhere in the body as nerve impulses travel up the nerve pathway to associated body parts.
Through manipulation of the 7200 nerve endings in your feet, Reflexology benefits your feet and your body by relieving tension and promoting healing.
Though Reflexology is new to many Americans, the science of Reflexology has been around since Egyptian times and can be used to relieve and reverse the effects of tension in the body. It is good for the feet and good for the body.
My clients have reported less foot pain, reduced foot and ankle swelling, less headaches, improved sleep, reduced shoulder tension, an overall sense of well-being, improved bowel movements, relief from lower back pain, relief from gall bladder pain, less heartburn, easier breathing, overall body relaxation, increased neck mobility, speedier illness recovery, elimination of nausea and stomach ache, reduction in sinus pain…the list goes on.
Once congestion and tension clears in the body, health restores.
